I tried to pass this piece of news by, but it keeps popping up. So I decided to share, just in case you missed it. And well, it's kind of funny.
Cambridge, MA decided to print yoga poses on the back of parking tickets as part of a public art project. However, as the article covering the story in the Boston Globe rightly points out - "have you ever tried to navigate the streets of Cambridge"? Maybe better signs and more realistic parking laws would make happier commuters? And perhaps the yoga poses should be saved for the likes of the long lines at the DMV?
Regardless of the criticism, I applaud the DOT for connecting the dots - parking tickets stress people out, and yoga combats stress. Maybe the printed poses will change some drivers' perspectives ... but I can guess that for most, they'll be slamming that ticket on the roof of their car screaming "who da frig do they think they arhaa?"
