Count Your Blessings: serve up some gratitude Yoga for thanksgiving

Where thought goes, energy flows. Consider the Law of Attraction - feeding negative thoughts will attract more negativity. To nurture gratitude, we must start with acceptance. A deep acceptance of where we are and what we have now. If we can truly accept life as it is, the door opens to a new relationship to the world - a relationship filled with gratitude.

You may have heard - count your blessing daily. And while this practice may seem juvenile or “easy” - remember, “where thought goes, energy flows”. What you practice does get stronger. Where your mind goes, so goes your life.

By counting your blessings daily, you cultivate a practice that focuses on the positive aspects of your life. The next time you're falling down the rabbit hole of your negative thoughts, perhaps you can fall back on this new habit of gratitude. Perhaps you will shift the dark, clinging, judging, critical mind ... and start living in the now.

So go ahead, count your blessing daily. Let this simple, yet powerful, practice forge a path that may change your life - and let a little more light shine in on us all.
